"Kryvbas has completed its first winter transfer by signing a midfielder from the Venezuelan national team."

"Kryvbas" announced on its website the signing of a contract with midfielder Gleyker Mendoza from the Venezuelan club "Angostura."

The 23-year-old winger will join Yuri Vernydub's team on a one-year loan with an option to buy. The newcomer can play as a center forward or on either wing of the attack. In the new team, he will wear the number 28 jersey.

"Kryvbas" managed to outbid MLS clubs that were also interested in securing the transfer of Gleyker.

It’s worth noting that Mendoza is a product of "Angostura," where he began his professional career. Last season, he was on loan at "Tachira," with whom he became the champion of Venezuela (3 goals and 4 assists in 28 matches). His contract with "Angostura" is valid until December 31, 2028.

In early 2025, Mendoza received his first call-up to the Venezuela national team for a friendly match against the USA (1:3) – Gleyker started and played the full 90 minutes. Transfermarkt values him at €450,000.

As a side note, "Kryvbas" finished the winter break in fourth place in the UPL standings, having accumulated 31 points.
