According to a decision by the Economic Court of Ivano-Frankivsk Region, the enforcement service has frozen the accounts of the "Kalush Energy Company," which provides services to the city on behalf of the debtor, KP "Vodoteploservis." To resolve the situation, the authorities of Kalush are preparing an appeal to the National Security and Defense Council and the Cabinet of Ministers.
As reported by Kalush Mayor Andriy Naida on December 19, the former supplier of heat and water, "Vodoteploservis," has accrued a debt of 42 million UAH for unaccounted gas usage. As a result, the municipal enterprise ceased providing services, and the city council members assigned these responsibilities to KP "Kalush Energy Company." This enterprise has been included in the register of critical infrastructure objects.
“KP ‘KEK’, according to the decision of the Kalush City Council, has been designated as the provider of utility services, not as the successor to KP ‘Vodoteploservis,’ and we do not understand the enforcement service's decision. We are currently in the midst of the heating season, and the imposed freeze on accounts carries numerous risks. If the state were to return the community's debt for the tariff difference (which is about 173 million), we could settle Vodoteploservis's debt,” – wrote Andriy Naida on Facebook.
To address the situation, during a meeting of the TEB and NS commission in Kalush, it was decided to appeal to the National Security and Defense Council, the Cabinet of Ministers, Members of Parliament, and the head of the ODA, Svitlana Onyshchuk.
