Donald Trump has announced scheduled meetings with Ukraine and Russia.

The President of the United States believes that the previous discussions are progressing quite well.

U.S. President Donald Trump announced that his team has scheduled meetings and discussions with Ukraine, Russia, and other parties. This was reported on Monday, February 3, by Ukrinform.

“As you know, we had a very busy weekend, we dealt with Israel, we dealt with Ukraine and Russia. We have scheduled meetings and negotiations with various parties, including Ukraine and Russia,” Trump responded to reporters' questions.

The American president noted that in his opinion, “these discussions are going quite well.” He did not provide any other details regarding the negotiations.

According to Radio Free Europe, just a few hours prior, Trump’s special representative for Ukraine and Russia, Keith Kellogg, warned that both sides would need to make concessions if they hope to reach an agreement to resolve the war.

“Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has already indicated that he will soften his stance on territories, and [Russian President Vladimir] Putin will also have to soften his position,” Kellogg stated.

“Over time, we will discuss this with everyone, and possibly in the near future. And this is good for both sides,” the official added.

Previously, Kellogg promised to find a solution to end the Russian-Ukrainian war within 100 days of Trump's inauguration. He also expressed support for placing Ukraine in a position of strength in future negotiations with Russia.

Recall that on January 16, President Volodymyr Zelensky stated that with American and European support, there is a chance to end Russia's war against Ukraine by 2025. According to the president, his American counterpart Donald Trump must force Russia to peace.
