In 2025, a larger number of citizens in Ukraine will be able to utilize vouchers for education and professional retraining. The government has allocated 330 million hryvnias for this purpose. This initiative, funded by the State Employment Service, aims to help Ukrainians acquire new professions. This was reported by НУШ.
According to Deputy Minister of Economy Tetiana Berezhna, in 2023, 18,000 Ukrainians received educational vouchers, and in 2024, nearly 23,000. This year, 330 million UAH has been allocated for the program, which will allow an increase in the number of participants.
The educational voucher covers up to 30,280 hryvnias of tuition costs. It allows individuals to pursue one of 155 professions and specialties of their choice, such as in the fields of IT, medicine, construction, and education. Program participants can select their educational institution independently. Upon completion, they receive a state certificate.
Who is eligible for an educational voucher:
Ukrainian citizens aged 45 and older;
combatants;
internally displaced persons;
people with disabilities;
veterans;
former prisoners;
those affected by the war.
In 2024, the highest number of such vouchers were issued in Dnipropetrovsk, Kharkiv, and Lviv regions. The most popular specialties included nursing, psychology, culinary arts, and pastry making.
Applications for the voucher can be submitted online on the State Employment Service's website or by visiting the nearest employment center.
