Top 100 Schools for an IT Career: Rankings Based on NMT Results.

The DOU editorial team has analyzed the results of this year’s NMT and compiled a ranking of Ukrainian schools that are best suited for students aspiring to a career in IT. The ranking takes into account testing results from the past two years in mathematics and English – essential subjects for future IT professionals. A total of 4,203 schools from across Ukraine participated in the ranking, as reported by OsvitaNova.

Mathematics has the highest coefficient for admission to specialties related to IT. English is also crucial for an IT professional's career: the higher the level of proficiency, the higher the salaries. The ranking illustrates which schools provide the best foundational knowledge in mathematics and English for future engineers.

Top 100 Schools for the IT Sector in 2024

This year’s ranking features the inclusion of private schools – 19 in total.

88 out of the top 100 schools are located in regional centers, with only one situated in a rural area (a private school in the village of Khotiv near Kyiv).

Among the top 100 schools for the IT field, they are located in:

• Kyiv – 40,
• Lviv – 14,
• Kharkiv – 8,
• Dnipro – 7.

The best school for IT this year is the Lviv Physics and Mathematics Lyceum. The Dnipro Lyceum No. 12 "Intellect" also made it to the top ten, while all other educational institutions are from Kyiv. You can view the entire list of 100 schools here.
